Earth Day 2008 - Waunona Spring Cleanup and Picnic!

RAIN DATE: Saturday, Arpil 28th, 2008.
The Waunona Neighborhood Spring Clean Up
Meet at Esther Beach for soda, doughnuts and assignments. Bring rakes and gloves if you have them. Trash bags will be provided. Brats and goodies will follow after the clean up. We'll be cleaning up Esther Beach, Thut Park, Waunona Park (trash only), Nana Lane and the area by the Waunona sign.

Meeting of Thut Park Committee
There will be a meeting of the Thut Park Committee, Wednesday April 9th, 2008 at 6:30 PM at the Bridge-Lake Point-Waunona Neighborhood Center 1917 Lake Point Drive. There will be reports from the playground and fund raising committees. Bill Bauer from the Park's Department will attend. He will fill us in on the status of the seeding and grading contract and possible plantings that may occur in 2008, status of rain gardens, etc.

Will you assist a child in having a summer camp experience through our neighborhood center, Bridge Lake Point Waunona?
Financial support is needed to facilitate the first ever BLW Neighborhood Center summer camp program for children. Help children, who otherwise would not, experience field trips, swimming at our municipal pool, and daily nutritious snacks among other life experiencing events! Ald. Tim Bruer hosts a 14th District Meeting at the Bridge-Lakepoint-Waunona Neighborhood at 1017 Lakepoint Dr. on July 10th, 2007 at 6:30 PM. You are invited to attend to review the plans and provide comments, to help ensure that Thut Park meets the majority's needs of the area. ACT, Underground Route Alternatives, Meetings Set
June 11, 12 and 13 are the dates for ACT to discuss the implications and requirements for underground transmission lines. The American Transmission Company will host 3 open houses to discuss the problems with placing transmission lines underground.
